Alpha Phi Outdoor Adventures

July 30, 2016

This summer, so many of us have had the opportunities to explore. From hiking in the Pacific Northwest, to watching radiant sunsets in Thailand, to traversing the Sahara by camel, appreciating the world's natural beauty is so important to us. As Alpha Phis and as human beings, we believe that respecting the earth and all it has to offer is crucial in creating a better world.

Here Tamren is hiking near the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, Northern California's primary water source. In our home, we emphasize saving water by encouraging each other to take shorter showers, especially in the current drought.

Lily loves discovering new spots in her native Thailand. On a hike in Phu Hin Rong Kla Phitsanulok National Park, she took a quick dive in the chilly waters of the Man Daeng waterfall.

A Montana native, Emma loves exploring the outdoors. Here she's backpacking in Glacier National Park, enjoying the sunshine, and marveling at the snow-topped mountains.

On a recent trip to Morocco, Taylor ventured out of her comfort zone and rode a camel in the Sahara Desert. Sweltering in the intense heat, she admired the seemingly endless sand dunes.

A member of the Cal Triathalon Team, Sarah is known for staying as active as possible. For her 19th birthday, she recently completed a triathalon in Idaho with her parents!

Angels Landing is a huge rock formation in Utah's Zion National Park. Nicole loved climbing and hiking through the park.
